Chungfung Unveils 2021 E4 TTSR: A Refined Leap in Compact Electric Performance
December 15, 2019
Shanghai, China — Chungfung is proud to announce the upcoming 2021 Chungfung E4 TTSR, a high-performance evolution of its compact electric hatchback lineage. Building on the success of the 2019 Chungfung Motion E4TTS, the E4 TTSR marks a bold step forward in both design and drivetrain refinement.
While the name may sound familiar, the E4 TTSR is no mere refresh. It inherits the spirit of the 2017-designed Motion E4TTS, but for 2021, Chungfung has officially separated its electric variants from the 3-cylinder Motion lineup. The result: a dedicated electric identity under the Chungfung E4 and E4 TTSR nameplates.
The E4 TTSR is powered by an upgraded 3130-M 400V motor battery unit, the same proven system found in other Emerson Motors electric vehicles such as the Fwin Pyrwin 300i electric roadster, Emerson Truck’s E-CPUT and E-PUT pickups, and the E-MS electric mid-size sedan. This unit delivers 335 horsepower, up from the well-established 310 hp of the E-3127-CP used in the Motion E4TTS. Power is distributed to all four wheels via dual Emerson Performance two-speed transfer units, improving 0–60 mph acceleration by 0.435 seconds and delivering confident all-wheel-drive performance in a compact footprint.
Supporting this powertrain is the 3130-M 400V battery, which adds 75 pounds over the previous unit but enables a top speed of 137 mph and a battery range equivalent to 142.7 mpge or around 316 miles—a modest but measurable gain over the Motion E4TTS’s 141.6 mpge (313 miles) and 133 mph top speed.
For drivers seeking a more balanced experience, Chungfung also introduces the 2021 E4, which replaces the Motion E4 in the compact electric hatchback lineup. It retains the proven E-3127 Sub-C motor unit with 122 horsepower, driving all four wheels through Emerson’s two-speed transfer system.
Both models debut Chungfung’s new lighting signature and an evolutionary design language, signaling the brand’s future direction in electric mobility.
“The E4 TTSR is our answer to those who want compact efficiency without sacrificing performance,” said a Chungfung spokesperson. “It’s a refined, electrified expression of what a modern hatchback can be.”
The Chungfung E4 and E4 TTSR will arrive in global markets beginning 2021.
