Chungfung Unveils Redesigned 2021 E4 TTS, Combining Efficiency with Performance

Press Release – March 25, 2020

Guadalajara, Mexico – Chungfung is excited to announce the redesign of its flagship Motion E4TTS, now rebranded as the 2021 E4 TTS. Manufactured in Guadalajara, Mexico, the E4 TTS is primarily exported to its largest market, China, where over 3,000 units are sold monthly. This volume suggests that Chungfung will need to strategically adjust its transportation routes to combat the ongoing impact of rising import taxes, which, for example, amount to $3,584,835 on shipments to Guangzhou, China.

The 2021 E4 TTS builds on the December 2019 announcement of the E4 TTSR, offering slightly lower performance but with a greater focus on weight reduction and efficiency. While the E4 TTS doesn’t quite match the TTSR’s acceleration—lagging by just 0.4 seconds in the 0-60 mph sprint—it still reaches an impressive top speed of 134 mph, just 3 mph shy of the TTSR’s peak.

Despite the performance gap, the E4 TTS presents a compelling alternative, delivering a near-identical driving experience at a more accessible price. The key difference? A smaller, lighter battery system. With a 400-volt architecture and a 300-mile range, the E4 TTS weighs in at just 3,448 pounds—significantly lighter than the TTSR, which weighs 3,520 pounds. However, the TTSR does offer an additional 16 miles of range and 25 more horsepower, all while sharing the same Emerson-supplied E-FF4 G3 chassis used in many other Emerson vehicles.

For those seeking an optimal blend of performance and efficiency, the 2021 E4 TTS stands out as a compelling option in the high-performance electric vehicle market.
