Emerson continues its upward trajectory in the crossover segment

 March 20, 2020—Press Release

Emerson continues its upward trajectory in the crossover segment, securing a 19.5% lead in March with 11.1 million units sold—marking a 106% increase over 2018. Our total market share for 2018 stands at 23.6%, which is higher than 2019, and taking into consideration the market uptick of 106%, Emerson will have to strategize.

As we transition to our next-generation product line, we’ve identified a shortfall in BKM sales—100 units below a key competitor. While we remain committed to value-driven pricing and will not engage in a price war, we recognize the strategic pressure from BW and our crosstown peers.

To maintain operational resilience, we are evaluating portfolio adjustments, including potential divestment of Motorback shares, pricing realignments in niche segments, and manufacturing shifts to mitigate tariff and logistics impacts.

Emerson remains focused on long-term growth, innovation, and delivering value to our customers and stakeholders.
