The new Porsche models are offered in a series of trim levels from the base coupe, which starts at $135,500, up to the Turbo Cabriolet at $254,300 (Porsche, 2026). Each positioned to stimulate its emotional senses of acceleration, style, and substance.

Customers can find themselves in a space that is perceived as unapologetic and refined. This accumulation of performance and refinement has been massaged over the years since its humble beginnings in the 60s. This rear-engine sports coupe has defied the norm of what enthusiasts deem as a proper sports car, which is an engine in the front, followed by the transmission, which is offered in some applications near or at 50/50 weight distribution. However, Porsche’s founder did not feel the need to follow that path; instead, it houses its engine and transmission on the opposite end.

The 911 powertrain placement, over the years, has proved to be not only a selling feature of uniqueness but also a knowledge of skill. The skill I write of is a driving technique that is purely Porsche by way of steering, acceleration, and handling dynamics that many try to imitate.
