#GearCity 2018: Progression
Electric Program
Emerson Motors has started working on new motors/batteries for 2020. The initiative was to highlight costs and consolidation between brands. Doing so has resulted in positive savings for Emerson Motors and customers by transitioning to a mainstream operating procedure.
Concerns
Global wars have reduced production, causing layoffs and necessitating reinvestment in newer batteries/motors. To address these concerns, Emerson Motors has reduced its costs to increase sales and to prepare for the upcoming 2019 models. There has also been a reassessment of new releases and a sale of shares of Motorback.
Outcomes
The sale of Motorback has netted Emerson Motors just over 12 billion, reducing its ownership to just 73%, down from 100%.
The reassessment of prices for all brands has provided savings for customers.
Future Project
Chungfung is working on a prototype of the Mantis project. This project will introduce a near-luxury model to the primarily compact sedan lineup. Doing this provides customers with that premium feel without the cost associated with Allure, Emerson Performance, or Ben Lee.
