Update
February 2019 brings new challenges for Emerson Motors. Shortly after, the tension alleviated from the ranks of chief designers, finally realizing that they are on the same team and don’t need to compete internally. A wakeup call for Emerson Performance to update their components and vehicles to keep their premium status in the market.
New Products
Chungfung
· Mantidae V8 received a good review from James Clerkson upon its release. Sales have decided to keep the Chungfung MU882 around for a few more months until the Mantidae goes on sale in the next 3 months.
· 1.2T.1: 3-cylinder engines add more power.
· 1.2T.2: 3-cylinder engine (in design phase).
· 1.6T.1: 3-cylinder engine to replace the expensive 1.2TT and possibly the 1.9L V8 from MotorBack (in design phase). Cost effectiveness for both customers and Emerson Motors.
Electric Program
Emerson Motors
Five electric programs started last month. This initiative is to further lower costs, offering customers more fueling options. Constant design updates have also contributed to cost reductions while offering customers more performance.
Emerson Performance
The design department just completed two new luxury performance models, the Emerson Performance ELS S4 and ELS TS4. These two mid-size fully electric sedans bring a new level of luxury and performance.
Off-Road expansion
Humner
A new off-road V8 powered Sandfinder is an upcoming model with well-received image quality. This is the first new design since Humner’s repositioning as a niche off-road brand of a compact SUV, crossover, and now two full-size SUV offerings.
Global
A census has started to find people not included in the original count. Data has been coming in to provide updates to populations and economies for 2020. Once this phase is complete, 2024-2030 will start, though it is not clear if it will be on a four-year update or continue with the current 10-year span.
