GearCity: SimulationGC7 project has passed the first test of stability by moving on to May 2019
Review
Upon completing the first test of stability after corporations and regulations have been added, the real task starts of maintaining the workforce, budgeting for future vehicles, and introducing new options for strategic positioning. This analysis of the project is not a critique of the developer, who has done an amazing job on GearCity, but rather a guide for a personalized long-term play session.
This review of GearCity in conjunction with the SimulationGC7 is for educational value for my further understanding of the auto industry as well as the corporations that work in conjunction with it. This can provide educational content that is constructed outside the main game files, for which their credit is solely the developers. However, this project provides an outer layer of personal files developed and then reconfigured for the long-term play session of GearCity. This in no way is a project that is for sale or has been developed for sale.
Current
Due to a retirement fund market crash, Emerson Motors has lost all of its investment for employees. This account is a one-way street for the investment company and provides protections for them over the corporation, in this case, Emerson Motors. With this occurrence, management has taken the approach to pay as we go to reduce the risk of losing more money if the market crashes again.
Other outcomes in the current gameplay are budgeting standards and monitoring. Both are needed to reduce the risk of financial shortfalls due to overcommitment to customer demands without foresight of upcoming events.
Updates
While the simulation is still ongoing and progress has been made, the SimulationGC7 files still need updating. This is to provide a review of its progress and stability, as well as an impression of my analysis of GearCity as a game, which at this point has performed well.
