GearCity: SimulationGC7--Update of an Update

Update

Project: SimulationGC7

Timeline: October 2018

Purpose: Economic Updates

Current Date: August 9, 2026

The project is still ongoing with much success in implementing line updates to files. Most of the success is due to understanding systematic events that endured throughout the testing phase and seeing these events repeat and reading the files to understand how these events possibly took place. After this, just as important as understanding is patience is required to experience the repeated events for validation. While these steps have contributed to the success, is a byproduct.

Establishing intent for projects that are this involved should include ongoing sandbox of events, research, and understanding. During this process it is noted that one should rest while updating files. This is to allow time to present realizations of the importance of data compiled through a third party and data shifting in an effort to bring gradual change within the simulation testing location of GearCity.

So, what's next for the project? If you have edited files before, you have a good understanding of how placing a line item in the wrong place or a lack of closing can result in the file not working properly. A file that is out of form can create a situation where the simulation will still work. While this for some is good enough, this is in fact a concern that can expose itself later down the line as year’s progress. These files have purpose and while using programs to speed up the process of line edits or file implementation it can come at a cost of de-stabilization of the simulation where the artificial intelligence (AI) can cause serious harm to the non-person character as well as all your hard work. I have seen this first hand within the simulation.

Practical measures while editing files:

·        Make sure you have an understanding of the files you intend to edit or design.

·        Take on what you can manage.

·        Take the time to allow the simulation to advance with guard rails in place.

·        Use programs that assist in helping you do what you know, instead of doing the work for you.
