#GearCity: Update August 5, 2026

Project: SimulationGC7

Purpose: To operate an automotive organization in Detroit, Michigan

Platform: GearCity 2.0.0.7

Date: August 5, 2026

Current Overview

Cycling through files has exposed new opportunities for improvement of Emerson Motors. The original intent was to operate an automotive company to gain understanding from the perspective of family history of union and management commitments to Chrysler and Ford. Through these memories and discussions the realization set in that listening is only one side to actual work; there should be physical labor. I look back on the many years of management and recent years of physical unionized labor to gain an understanding of actions needed to progress through the years. This progress is time-consuming, but with the added complexity of learning files to gain understanding, which is then translated to personal and family-driven experience derived from the pursuit of operating within a simulated automotive environment that is as unique as Emerson Motors.

Update

Progress has been made in re-establishing baselines for gas rates. This was needed to transition to updated information for the artificial intelligence (AI) automakers need based on this test within GearCity. This was needed for version 2.0.0.7, as the AI would panic if gas rates reached a certain point. At first I thought something else was happening, but most, if not all, manufacturers stopped producing, and demand for Emerson Motors (under the Update file only, not the current which is the same as the original Edward J. Emerson file) would skyrocket. This was never the intent. This action, along with some that will take more research to understand and later explain, crippled the auto industry and in some cases the entire platform. Understanding is one part of the equation with explanations being the other. Both are generally needed to move forward. However, with some understandings, plans were put in place to balance the equation through a mixture of third-party suppliers, family history, personal history, and some recent news reports. This in-line with discussions with my Mother and Father over the years of my life which follows the same update path, but not all at once.
