GearCity7/SimulationGC7: Economy as of March 2020 (in game)-September 21, 2026

The updates to how the simulation views the economy have resulted in similar shifts to when this occurred after the previous system crash. This taught a lesson about give and take. After this realization, consideration was given to stabilizing the economic effects through system logic adjustments. This required micro changes that increased the read information based on file adjustments. These core considerations through the adjustments are partly due to economic uncertainty due to health concerns, pensions, policy changes, and inventory.

Health

Health at this time was in question due to the lack of information. Data on the subject was not widely known, and many markets were reacting to events that took place in the months leading up to the events.

Pensions

The mutual pension funds have contributed to the economic downturn in 2020. This uncertainty is compounded by the health events taking place. The combination of concerns in the market resulted in consideration of interest rate stabilization, needed to establish confidence in the pension fund.

Policy

Policy changes or introduction files are digested into the simulation over the course of a few days. This file reading addition may have contributed to the market uncertainty through information overload due to the addition of choice to the equation of life. The new way of life, or seeing life, leads to the possibilities of eternalizing some, if not all, of the events presented to them through these changes. For some, this could be life-altering, and new vehicle purchases are affected due to choices implemented into the equation of life.

Inventory

By design, understanding the complexities of the simulation places a disadvantage. This disadvantage comes from being humanly limited based on the data digest of the previously mentioned, as well as other areas the files touch within the simulation. This, along with economic uncertainty, resulted in a massive reduction in new vehicle purchases, resulting in inventory. The inventory, in conjunction with new vehicle rollouts, has increased choice for new vehicle purchases, resulting in many choosing to hold off. This is why vehicle prices, directly tied to the economy, offer consideration to offset the inventory concern.

Why was this inventory concern important? Inventory is considered a liability at times due to revenue spent on background manufacturing that results in a vehicle. Each day this vehicle sits on the lot, it is costing the manufacturer revenue, thus creating an expense that is on top of the expense of storage. This storage, if not strategically corrected, becomes an uncontrolled expense that, if the corporation is publicly traded, must be explained to avoid investor concerns.

Choice

Due to additional events and economic uncertainty, interest rates are taking a 6-month stabilization effort to see the population’s reaction to the introduction in their choice logic. Creating a limiting factor of daily or weekly data injections, which create these scenarios, based on population needs in conjunction with what they know. In addition to what the non-player character (NPC) knows within the simulation, it runs in conjunction with their means of accomplishing their daily routines contained within the simulation. These events played out through reports that define their sentiment based on their life choices, which has now grown past just working in a branch, headquarters, or factory location. They also have the ability to work for another corporation. This in itself has affected the simulation and has created wealth, which in turn assists the automotive industry through other file configurations offering more choices.

Why does this matter? It creates a different way of looking at what is happening in the game. It introduces events that are tied to the core of coded information contained in the developer's system. By introducing choice to the NPC, characters in the simulation/game environment provide a different market segment, considered to increase revenue opportunities. This has resulted in incremental increases, preventing the crash experienced in past resets. This is important to save storage space and investigate changes based on updates to the simulation side of the game, bringing validity to the filing update effort.

Intent

The intent of this project is not to replace reality but to provide readable data for continued edification. Simulations serve a purpose based on the developers' preferences. SimulationGC7 is on top of GearCity, and its developers hold all the rights to their game. This is not intended to replace their work or question why they created what they created. I am thankful for them, and this project is to assist in their creative design, which provided the platform up to 2020. The lessons learned in the game and later in the development of SimulationGC7 files provide a tool for understanding and a creative way of approaching some of the work involved with the automotive industry.
