GearCity: December 2021 Update for October 15, 2026
Mergers
In 2020, only 11 automotive corporations posted profits. This set the stage for the shift in the automotive world, resulting in Urza rising to the number-one spot. Urza's purchase of Bakas for $6.9 billion prompted the shift, and NowDrive and Cayalili followed suit, settling for $20.7 and $17.2 billion, respectively.
With gas prices at $4.19, many automakers are shifting towards smaller, more fuel-efficient vehicles as a result of the fuel rate rising to $1.99 per gallon. This long-term high rate has put pressure on Emerson Motors, which is currently the only automaker producing fully electric vehicles, to reduce its costs in order to produce more of these battery-powered vehicles.
Hinduman won the car of the year with its 2021-designed subcompact vehicle, which offers customers 113 horsepower and 79 foot-pounds of torque from its 1-4 engine. It sends power to the front wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission with double wishbone suspension at all 4 corners.
