GearCity: Emerson Motors' Current Factories

 Overview

Factories play a crucial part in the survival of automakers. How efficient are your factories, from an operational standpoint, in conjunction with sales, infrastructure, and customer base? Do these line up with the vision and mission of the CEO? From the perspective of Emerson Motors' operations, we can see the team building factories in South America and Canada. These will be smaller in size compared to the massive operations in Detroit, Michigan, and Baltimore, Maryland. These are planned to reduce the import costs associated with importing vehicles from the United States and China.

Assessment

The assessments are to question the motives of Emerson Motors. These motives establish the relationship Emerson Motors has with its employees, suppliers, and dealer network. These intentions can spill over into relationships that are constantly developing through business activities and social events. If the perception meets an action contrary to fair standing, relationships can erode over time. A balanced approach is needed to ensure efficiency and production levels align with the CEO's mental capacity to operate at the same or greater level than those who report to them.

Outlook

Each day brings a new way of operating events; if good moral standing is in play, it ensures relationship decisions are balanced in an unbalanced world. The unbalanced perspective communicates irregularities in the operations of BW and Gusboard. While alluring, it can operate as a double-edged sword, playing out through greed and obsession without the empathetic counter.

Emerson Motors has recently purchased Motorback. This acquisition adds to the uncertainty of operations moving forward. This was a needed move to protect the relationship between Motorback and Chungfung. This relationship started an internal competition between Emerson Performance and Chungfung after the rebranding, and later they fully designed and manufactured the Myzus 1.9TS using a Motorback 1.9-liter V8 for motorsports and road use. This competition was a lesson in teamwork and empathy, which led to Emerson Performance developing its own 2.0-liter V8, which in turn broadened Emerson Motors' performance portfolio. Making Emerson Performance, Chungfung, and now Motorback most notable for their motorsports involvement, street credibility, and increased image ratings.
