The Allure Presence redesign is a big deal for Emerson Motor Company, as it is one of the top profit vehicles for the organization, with just over $142 billion in profits since it was last redesigned in 2015. The Presence is a large unibody SUV offered in electric all-wheel drive (dual motor) and rear-wheel drive (single motor) configurations. This year both models lose seven inches in length and one inch in width while gaining 736 pounds in weight. In the automotive industry weight increase lowers handling capabilities of a vehicle, and with a full-size SUV the engineers had to increase power to offset the weight. The result is a decrease of .3 seconds to 60 (8.099) from the 2015 design’s 8.33 from the A3329-Lp motor battery combination that did produce 691 horsepower and now has 720 horsepower and a new top speed of 152 mph, up from the previous 129 mph.
